THE " ART THAT WORKS "
Water Cycle 2000 is an interesting sculpture that is regarded as " art that works. " It was crafted by the team from the British Engineerium and designed by its founder and director Dr Jonathan Minns. The engineerium is a restored Victorian pumping station which includes a museum showcasing mechanical antiquites. The museum also focuses on the Industrial Revolution, which started in Great Britain in the mid - 18th century.
Besides the giant wheel, the other main feature of this piece is water. It is said that the sculpture is based on the idea of Feng Shui. The sculpture is designed such that water, which symbolises wealth, flows towards the shopping mall.
